Thinking of getting a SLP X Pipe for MY SLP LM1's

Because they sound kick a*s, but they would sound even more kick a*s with a more exotic tone. Im sick of the hpipe now b/c with every catback i get is ton of BASS, but now i want more Pitch and a higher scream.


Woohoo.. anyone else going to join the darkside. Theses SLP's are here to stay for awhile and i can't wait to hear them with the vert top down.


Anyone make the switch from an aftermarket Hpipe to a Xpipe? Was it worth it?

I had a BBK O/R H on mine with Flows, which someone was suppose to buy :P, then I switched to the SLP Catted X, which was too quite, then I put on the race pipes, and it sounds pretty throaty. I like, now Ijust need some long tubes

Dunno, i just want more car abit louder at crusing plus i want a new tone. If you listen to my sound clip of my mac and slp setup they sound similar. VERY DEEP BASE and the drone is almost the same. I know if i switched up midpipes the tone would change.

no it wont...it will just change it a little bit, make it sound like a "racier" Chevy truck

i say sell the LMs and your midpipe and buy some SLP longtubes and a matching SLP X. 8)

you guys are crazy   :D . The LM1's are staying for abit :banana: I had the same problem with the MAC catback. Its the same sound as stock.. just deeper so im guessing its because of the Hpipe staying in a h formation.

LM Is are actually quite different from straight pipe. True enough, it looks like straight pipe from the photos, but in reality, there is a chamber in there that is responsible for amplifying and altering the tone of the exhaust, hence the reason they are referred to as resonators and not muflers.

my buddy has SLP LM2's i think (the loudest ones)  and a SLP O/R X pipe.  you could hear him 6 miles away when he was in part throttle cruise.

if he got on it. OH MY GOD..   and it sounded like complete a*s :puke:

LM2 has visible stuff inside unlike the SLP lm1. (as pictured above.. they look empty inside)

Im not sure what to do. Im sick of my car being slow so i want to speed it up some plus make it sound like a 99+GT. Will just a PI intake improve the sound of my exhaust (rofl)? I hate the sound after 3500 RPM. It sounds like someone with sinus.. all stopped up and cant breathe. I doubt it will so im not sure what to do. Theres noway i could afford cams/heads and a intake anytime soon.

Ok, everyone bashing SLP are complete IDIOTS. Don't you guys understand that ALL mustangs sound good no matter what exhaust you put on them. How many people have heard them in person for more than just a second? I like Flows, I like Borla, I just happen to like SLP the best. To me it is a unique sound that sounds scary good.

sry to say it but at start up.. IMO it sounds like a v6 with exhaust until you rev it up to higher rpms..

it doesn't sound to to bad when she was on the highway though. id still prefer anything else over SLP though.. its your car though and you make it sound how you want, anything is better than stock IMO..

^^^^Yeah I'm proud of you. 

It's just that so many people bash SLP saying it sounds like a tractor/truck/camaro when they haven't ever experienced the sound first hand. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but some people will never open their mind (I sound like SRT_Handz). And it is also funny how everyone here hates SLP but otherplaces EVERYONE loves SLP.  :dunno:

the slp sounded good at certain rpms with an OR X pipe, but it was just too loud for me.

I have no experience with the slp system with a catted mid pipe.
