BTW, I'd beware of the Dr. Gas X pipe. I had 2 buddies who ordered them for their 94-95s and they did not fit, the collector flanges were at the wrong angle and leaked. They both paid over $100 to have an exhaust shop cut and mod the pipe.
they probably bought ones that were used and already welded up for someone elses car. they come in pieces to custom fit YOUR car.

Currently have BBK shortys, BBK catted X-pipe, with flowmaster 50's. But its too quiet!!!!
Since this is an exhaust thread id thought id ask here rather then starting a new thread.
Should I go for an off-road x-pipe or replace the 50's with some glasspacks?
Id rather be smog legal but I want my car to sound like my dads 64 mustang(he has 50's) and his car is loud and mean sounding!

I would go with an o/r x. I hightly doubt glasspacks will give you the sound you are looking for (imo they sound awful, and they don't last). You can always swap mid-pipes for smog.

Bassani shorties Bassani x pipe with cats Bassani catback with 3" tips
Everything is stainless steel, and sounds very nice, even with the cats in place. a tad quiet though
Eventually ill swap the headers for Longtubes with a dr.gas x pipe, and keep the bassani catback.
Also have mac produmps, and they sound pretty mean behind the x pipe too.

This is basically what a SLP LM1 sounds like on our cars. I hate it but it was the cheapest option so i could get my damn emissions done.

I currently have
FRPP shorty headers Mac 2.5 inch O/R H-pipe Mac 2.5 inch cat-back with 3 inch tailpipes.
I love the way it sounds. Was thinking about switching up to a set of Mac ceramic coated long tubes, 3 inch O/R H-pipe and 3 inch cat-back with dumps.

BBK Shorty Headers
MAC H-pipe with Magnaflow highflow cats
Dynomax SuperTurbo catback
I'll find out how it sounds in a few days....
Update: Sounds good at idle...great under acceleration...but drones at highway cruising speed (60mph at ~2,000 RPM in 5th gear). Might change to Magnaflow or Ultra Flo Dynomax mufflers...or just drop the $$ for some Borla XS mufflers when I have some extra $$.

I'm at work now so I'll check the video later but I had magnapacks, offroad hpipe and bbk shorties and it was loud as all hell. So loud infact that it made me put a catted magnaflow xpipe on there. I'm happy with the more mellow sound.

mac 1 3/4 shorties, 3" flowmaster kit from the headers back... its a one piece h to 2 chambers, then tail pipes. sounds great but the mufflers are not ideal for a blown car. i plan on swapping them out at some point for some ultraflows. http://www.oldecityit.com/vids/modoidle.mov
