will they do ya any good? NO any lowering spring except coilovers should hurt your et's. You want your front end to travel, when you put a shorter spring aka lowering spring on it shortens the amount it can travel.

actually a stiffer spring in the rear can help launch by plantin the rears harder. to a point of course. lol. this only applies if you are runnin a slick tire.

You gotta love the snake

from what i have been reading around on the net lowering springs in general do hurt your e.t. the drag bags and stuff can help by what southerngun  said it wont compress the spring so much and helps to really plant that tire

i mean, yea 2 in drop spring will hurt your et cuase they arent designed to actually improve the suspension. the super race springs i ordered/installed only drop 1 1/4 in to 1 1/2 in. just right for looks and performance. its not a drag spring but the stiffer rate really helps the tire plant hard

well I've read alot that drop springs will hurt et's. I wasn't meaning to diss him but its a common misnomer. I guess in theory they hurt et's but every stang I've worked on or owned thats run without a drop then with a drop there was little to no loss in trap speed or et's. BUt then these were sane drops like 1 to 1.5". I think if you get dropzone 2 inch drop or more it probably would. As long as you have the ability for weight transfer. If you slammed so low your control arms are already articulated to the max then they can't do their job very well. In stock form they don't do it very well in the first place. So really theorical they hurt et's in reality they really don't.

If you are looking to gain good 60 ft times....save your money and hold off on the springs.  Your money is spent bender else where.  a mild drop isn't going to hurt too much on a bolt on car with good tires but eventually you're going to hit "the wall" where your drop springs DO start to hurt.  Put it this way...I've had frinends with stock GT springs cut one coil cut 1.50 60 fters with drag radials.  You CAN get the stance you want and cut good times...it IS a sacrifice BUT you CAN have your cake AND eat it too.

I've seen 1.58 short times for Eibach Pro rear springs and coilovers up front.
