Got tired of driving my Ford Escape XLT Sport and wanted to get into something fun, so today I bought a 97 Mustang GT.  It is a 5-speed and in nearly immaculate condition. Not a thing wrong with the interior at all (which is predominantly gray with the exception of a black section on the top of the dash).  These owners took great care of it and the previous owner entered it in a few local shows. It already has some things that I'd have done to it, is the Laser Red colored I wanted, and is in tremendous shape.  It has:

- Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter (feels great)
- Eclipse CD Head Unit
- Power Sunroof (never seen one on a Mustang, but I love it!)
- BBK Cold Air Intake
- Offroad H-Pipe
- Mac Exhaust
- Cobra R Hood (a version of it. It wouldn't have been my first choice because of the scoop, but I can live with it)
- Chrome Cobra Wheels
- 245/50R16 on Front 315/35R17 on Back
- Extra Set of Front Wheels and Tires Go with Car
- Fog Lights in box come with car

The first thing I'll do when I get it home is to get off the Cobra emblems. They're cool, but I don't believe in badging a car as something that it wasn't from the factory (so they'll be for sale if anyone wants them). The hood is okay and I can live with it, but I'm pretty sure that I'll start working on some money for swapping these wheels for some AFS 18" 03 Cobra wheels in a machined finish. The 16"s on the front don't look like 16" in person, but they're okay I guess for now. I'll also eventually lower it with some H&R SS springs. I'd like to also add a lower front lip, such as the Mach 1 style. And as soon as I get it, I also plan to mask off the rear lower bumper and paint that section in a semi-gloss black. As for the exhaust, it sounds great. If it had been stock, I'd have gone with a Prochamber or Magnaflow X and then into a Magnaflow exhaust, but I'll leave this.  Has some good volume to it, but quiets down as well when cruising. It already has tint (looks to be about 20%, which is perfect), a headunit, rear stainless fill-ins, exhaust, a shifter, and intake, so those are all things I don't have to spend money on!  Overall, I'm completely in love. Here it is:

Good to be a member. Thanks for having me, guys.  :dancing6:

Don't mind me when I jump in to stand up for the LSx family engines and their ridiculous power... just remember that I'm obsessed with 03 Cobras as well.  :thumb:

Your car looks clean and sharp!!  It looks dang near brand new!  You have a perfect canvas to work on!  Have fun modding away, when you can of course.

Does it have the same tires on the front and back?  Maybe that's it.  The hood isn't my top choice either.  It'll do though!

Yeah, like it says up there, the front wheels are 245 series 16" wheels. One of the previous owners put them on, but the owner after that decided he wanted bigger rears, so he bought 17" wheels (I'm guessing 10 or 10.5 wide) and put 315s on them.

As I stated... not the greatest by any means, but it will do for now. I'd like to switch to AFS machined 18x9 03 Cobras.

I would do no such thing, especially seeing as I now own one myself (even one of the "slow" 96-98 GTs! :rollinglaugh: )

C'mon Handz, I gave you more credit than that. cheesy  It looks slightly better in person, but the pictures do seem to make the fronts look much meatier. See below:

Yeah, like it says up there, the front wheels are 245 series 16" wheels. One of the previous owners put them on, but the owner after that decided he wanted bigger rears, so he bought 17" wheels (I'm guessing 10 or 10.5 wide) and put 315s on them.

And no worries guys, the Cobra emblems will be the first thing to come off when I get it home on Friday. I'll take a hairdryer to them and then slide some fishing string behind them to pop them off before getting rid of the excess adhesive and then polishing it up. I'll then wash the whole car with some extra-concentrated soap, clay it up, polish it, seal it, and wax it. I'm considering buying the Glanz Red and Green bottles for it.
