Welp I'm just gonna start throwing up the pics from the front end rebuild that's happening. It'll be a slow progression but oh well! Yay for leaking steering rack! K-member Where I started tonight Where I am now, should have both sides done tonight.

I think it's mystic paint so I wanna say '96 But back on topic, I was thinking about going with a tubular k-member to lose some weight up front. Great name for the project btw

Got the driver's side completely stripped out and the old ratty steering rack out. I'll give everything a once over to make sure nothing else is attached to the k-member besides the motor then it's time to drop down the old and put in the new! But thats not until tomorrow!

You know it! Here's the progress tonight: Got the truss and the straps in place. Old one out! New one in! Next step is to do the alignment which seems (according to the directions) to be a tedious step, so much beer needs to be drank! After that it's just waiting time until the a-arms, control arms and coil-over kits get ordered/delivered.

A cherry picker works fine but there is an actual tool for this. It spans the engine bay and hangs on the fender aprons above the strut towers.

Thanks guys! Really haven't touch it since then. Actually still didn't put the motor mount bolts on yet. Regardless I just posted this is Dee's thread but it has a rightful spot in here Yeah the engine truss worked out great! I borrowed that one from a friend but after seeing how he made his I went into work and fab my own. Just used some 2"x2"x3/16" tube steel and some 1"x1"x3/16" tube steel for legs. I haven't welded it together yet though, been pretty busy at work which is odd because two weeks ago we were dead in the water. I just had to pay the rest of my $1,000 fine from the Union so I'm short on cash but by paying this fine I got my raise finally and will be getting one again in April so the money will be rolling in. I'm figuring on being done the front suspension by late April. Dafizuck: I will take you up on your offer, def need those (apparently its required with the k-member). Just FYI this is what I have left on my to-do list:

Yeah I'm unsure about those, the only reason I was going with them is because MM's site claims them required with the k-member along with the directions for the k-member. Thanks for the info though, def have to research it more!
