Whats the point of heel-toe when downshifting or when road-racing??

Easier engagemant for the tranny .
And so it doesn't upset the car while in the corner. It keeps the rpm's up and less likely to for the rear end to step out.
Check out some road racing video's and watch the dance those guys do with the pedals.

Line Loc is the way to go while doing burnouts in anything although I've never had a problem doing burnouts in vehicles without a line loc.

In my '74 Nova I'd engage the line loc, rev it up to 2.5k and dump the clutch and stab the gas, then start banging gears like I was in someone else's car going down the 1320. Usually holding about 4k in 3ed gear.

In my old '99 S-10 Extreme I'd start in first rev it to about 3.5k and dump the clutch and stab the brakes while getting on the gas, get it up to 6k let off the gas and the brake and hitting the clutch and quick shifting into 2ed. Floor the gas and hit the brakes. You'll roll forward a little then should stop.

My '94 GT I do one of two things. 1st I start rolling in 1st gear then just floor it and shift into 2ed gear to do a really nice rolling burnout. 2ed I just spray the N2O in 2ed or 3ed. I haven't done any brake stands in it cause I don't feel like replacing the rear rotors after I warp them (learned that lesson in the the S-10).

But then again I have a 13W skater type shoe so I can cover the brake and gas with just one foot. lol

Knowledge does not cure opinion.

WWW

The 2.73's were great for mpg and that's it.  Those gears belong in an econo-cruiser, not a Mustang...

dif car later down the road ...plans for the current project are keeping the 3.73 and going with a s/c

then move on to a turbo build someday with really tall gears : )
