Everyone who watched Top Gear last night will know that The Stig was revealed as Schumacher.....

Let me explain a few things to everyone why Schumacher IS NOT the stig and it was a ploy.

- The Ferrari FXX may have reached the top of the "Power Lap Board" BUT it WILL NOT appear on that board next week. The Rule to be on the power board is that the car can go over a "Sleeping Policeman" also know as a "Speed Bump" in the US. The FXX cant do this task so it wont be allowed on the board. Many other cars have been taken off the board for this reason including the Renault F1 Car and the DBR9.

- The FXX Lap looked COMPLETELY different than any other stig lap. Any top gear fan will know that the Stig takes a special line on the first turn of the Track. He takes a COMPLETELY different line than F1 Drivers. When i saw the FXX go wide at that first corner, i knew something looked fishy. The FXX went WAY wide at that first turn, something the Real stig NEVER does.

- There was also a wierd move by the FXX on the track in the Middle of the Turn known as "Chicago". It hits this od bump which is never scene in any other car during the power lap. The Real stig knows about this "Dip" in the road there and never goes over it. I have scene every power lap on top gear and never scene that bump or stig take that line.

......Will all that said i would like to make sure you guys know that schumacher is NOT THE STIG. They will not release the identity like that. The Last Stig (Black Stig) also known as "Perry McCarhy" was fired because he gave away his identity in his book 'Flat out, Flat Broke"

Yes, Schumacher DID Drive the FXX on its Power lap because you can see the differences in his driving......I still hold strong my thoughts that The Stig is BTCC racing driver Ben Collins and Schumacher WILL Not be the stig next week.

It's just an appearance by schumacher, that's HIS FXX.

It is, it's the only black one, number 30.

Quote
Ferrari has built 30, expanding the original 29 that were planned. These have all been sold to pre-selected past Ferrari customers, with the exception of one which was retained by Ferrari S.p.A. Ferrari's F1 World Champion driver, Michael Schumacher, received the 30th. Schumacher's FXX differs from others in that it is the only black FXX without a stripe, it comes with red trim on the wheels, it has matte exhaust tips (regular FXX's have chrome tips), and his personal logo is stitched on the racing seats.

damn, thats crazy...i didnt know his was #30.

I am just surprised he Lugged his FFX all the way there. Knowing Schuy would could have just had ferrari get the car and there and then fly his Helicopter to the Top Gear Test track, do his thing, then Helicopter Off.

.....Nick Mason Helicoptered off....but then again, it was His enzo being used when they did the enzo test so how did it get home?

Thats why I said, it's just a stunt, an appearance, for fun. Schumacher is the only one that's allowed to drive that particular FXX.

Just for comparison on the Driving Line watch these 2 videos. The first is Schumi driving the FXX, The second is The REAL stig driving the DBR9. You can tell the difference in the driving.

the dip your talking about is after the tires right? They both just nip that dip lol. I mean they are two totally different drivers I'm not arguing you there just saying they both (the Stig and Shum) hit that curb right after the tires in just about the same way but it was hard to see considering it was filmed in two seperate views

oh where the fxx had really bad wheel hop right in the middle of the apex? That was strange and yea of all the episodes I've watched I've never seen a car do that either. It also looked like he made a mistake on turn in or like he was trying to get the rear to come around slightly. I concur...thats not how the Stig drives or enters the hammerhead. And for everyone else, Top Gear is kind of like Motorweek or car and driver but it includes very good humor, fun stuff to watch, best enjoyed after smokin a doobi and you'll piss yourself laughing and drooling in awe at all the cool cars they drive. On the East coast (I'm in maryland) it comes on every monday night at 9 PM on BBC america which is channel 114 if you have Comcast digital cable. I have it recorded and have still have not watched it. BangHead

Yes they bash american cars but in most cases its absolutely true. Sorry to offend anyone. But I'n defense they also air a repeat episode right before the 9pm showing and it was about american cars and they drove the cady CTS-v, ZR1 , and a challenger. One guy loves american cars and the others not so much but they were RAVING about why you would buy a muscle car.

its actually pretty cool they usualy do some stupid (yet very funny stuff) and race cars that i couldnt dream to afford around a track and keep a list of who is the fastest and the stig is a mysterious driver who is the one who drives them around the track.......

i recommend the show highly .....i dont have cable or id still be watching ......they test drive drive cars and give thier own comparisons and race on the street btw

yeah they do bash american cars sometimes .......but they still have respect for 'em

showing Europe how it's done

I hate it when people say 'I don't like topgear, because the bash American cars'. They don't bash them just because they're american. The bash them because there's something wrong with the car.

I still love my american car and wouldn't wanna trade it for a bimmer. But I have to agree on the faults they find in them. The interiors are rubbish compared to most euro counterparts, and so is the handling and poweroutput/liter.

This is acceptable IN the US, because it keeps the price down. But by the time you have one on the road over here, it's the same price as a euro equivalent.

But they love the viper, C6 vette, Roush mustang, Ford GT, ZR1, etc.. And there are just as much euro's and exotics getting bashed. so It's not fair to say 'they bash american cars'.

Top gear does make mistakes....esspecially when talking about american cars.

When talking about the Corvette for example, clarkson says the C6 has a 5.7 liter engine when it really have a 6.0 LS2.

ok So I got up early today to watch my recorded Top Gear show before work and to my dismay there is no Ferrari FXX no schumacher WTF? was it the right episode? They started the show comparing the Porsche GT-2 and Lambo 460-4 (I think). I recorded it on my DVR and of course fast froward through commercials. Did I fast forward through a whole section of the show or is it a diff episode? I know he said welcome to a new season at the beginning...am  I missing something? What gives?
