well i know we are not supose to put auto tranny fluid in our manual transmissions so what are we supose to put in them? (paul?)

94 gt auto with all upgrades and stand alone tranny computer, comp extrem cam 1.7 rollers,3.90 gears 31spline axles.mega bite lowers boxed ford racing uppers, frame ties,tubular k- member, pih kit.....and all the little bolt ons

Automatic trans fluid . I used the royal purple for manual trannys.

It depends on what transmission you have. I belive Ford recommends ATF for T5s, but I'm sure someone else will chime in.
For the Tremec 3550, I use GM Syncromesh.

i used the pennzoil synchromesh , it cut the grinding in 2nd down considerably.

T5's use regular trans fluid.
3550/500/600 use synchromesh.

Pennzoil and GM is the same stuff. Im using Royal Purple in my 3550 since last summer, everythings been fine

I'm running castrol ATF in my T5 right now. for a little added protection, you could run Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF - little more expensive though.
