***Updates at bottom***
The Plan: Build a fully fordged 5.4, with the grand plan of a monster centrifugal. Drag-oriented suspension.

Engine is being assembled---only parts left to get are a clutch to hold the mo-fo, a Oilpan/Windage tray (coming from MMR) and a tune.
If money allows before mustang week I plan on getting a tubular front setup w/coilovers

And for the hell of it, got nitrous cheesy

A little history
Car started off bone stock automatic, 47K on the Odometer.
That didnt last long.
First round of mods consited of a K&N FIPK (waaaaste of money) and just painting the rear bumper and hood.
v1.0:

Then came the next round of mods....droped the car, threw on some Bullitt rims, HO Fibertrends Hood, Black beauty headlights, and H pipe and Mac dumps.
v2.0:

Then the trans blew its load....so out with the old, in with a t-45 and all the other goodies! also put on a livernois PI Intake kit to spice things up...as well as a 4:10 rear end cheesy
v2.1:

So I got the front cover and crank pulley off..

However it came with a small price.
Me being the redneck engineering major afro engineer decided I didnt need a damn pulley puller so I used a screwdriver.
and this is the result:

However then I got to look at this mess

Took the timing components off and put them left/right on the shelves, then took off the heads.
That was a biatch. Took a breaker bar and a 3/4 box end wrench for leveraget to get them off...

But by GOD I did it lol

So this is where we stand...

Im sending the heads off to be ported begininng of next month to compliment the nice cams I got cheesy

Going to be a cool build.  Are you going to run the adapters so you can run a 4.6 intake on it?

Nitrous pics....

Got the 5.4 torn down to the block. Prepping it for paint and honining etc. Sent the heads off to be ported by www.modularspeed.com and ordering the rotating assembly for MMR. It slowly coming together...

Gone through 2 bottles of nitrous cheesy no problems so far...with the 125hp shot the thing turns into an animal.\
Better pics and updates soon!

Got the heads back from porting from modularspeed Results below!

Got some high lift valvesprings and MMR valves on the way from MMR.

Out of curiousity, how much was that?  And it's a stock stroke right?  Nice build, always best to keep it running and fun while you build the motor for it.

$2060.00 for everything, balanced, to my front door. Stock stroke and everything.

Same as 4.6 :D with the longer stroke makes a more torquey engine cheesy should be fun with the 5spd and 4.10's lol

Also picked up some 38# injectors from 01SportChic...so those will hold me until I get the turbo kit goin.

And finally got on the waiting list for the 5.4L Hardball'r intake from HPS. ETA is late december so I should have the $600 bucks for that guy around christmas.

Welp, got some parts over the weekend. Friend gave me some 32# injectors off his 5.0 that he is upgrading. Also got a Brand New 8 bolt steel flywheel on ebay for dirt cheap.
while I was at it got a ported C&L plenum and been porting it a little (gasket matching)

Also the HPS intake finally showed up :D podercoated black, 3 core aluminum radiator showed up with new red radiator hoses.

Next month I plan on picking up the Oil Pan and Windage tray from MMR, hopefully the gasket kit so I can start assembling the longblock!!
