HVAC control modification help

Is there any way i can disable the a/c when i switch it to mix on the fan settings. i still want it to work in defrost mode though. i just want the vents at my feet and up by the window to blow air with out the a/c coming on.

can any of you guys help?

run the a/c compressor wiring off a toggle switch.

Why do you want to do that?  The A/C is what dries the air before hitting the windshield.  Otherwise it's like blowing your warm breath on a cold window.

i only wanna do it cause i want the air flowing by my feet and up top at the same time. I'll still have my regular defrost working.
