Well, I got sent off-course a little with my build... many of you remember the 2.8K+teskid dream.... that's still alive, but i want the stang running soon, as it seems to have exploded... and not in a "omg Chris, i need a cigarette after that" way... more of the "commeer boy! daddys gunna make ya cry!" way.... ill post videos of my car running later... i dont want to start it any more than i have to in hopes of driving it on and off the trailor for the swap. lol. so here it is... 4.6 npi spun a main or something. so i was looking into a PI swap when Jeff mentioned his friend having a cobra motor. i set everything up with his friend to buy his cobra motor, but found one a little closer for a little bit more reasonable price... here's what i got: 2004 Mustang Cobra Motor 100% stock. 31,000 Miles. guy rolled his car. ran when dropped off at junk yard nothing is broken (havent inspected it yet, but thats what the yard guranteed me.) motor mounts are fine (always want to make sure those werent ripped out when you buy a car from a rolled-accident) bellhousing mount locations are fine some minor wiring problems (some are ripped apart. ive found two so far. nothing a 10 minutes wont fix) exhaust manifold and stock h-pipe provided stock intake, throttle cable, MAF provided oem k-member also provided 100% computer system: dash harness, ecu, engine harness stearing colum, set of keys, locks etc. step 1: disassemble removing blower and lower intake manifold for cleaning and porting. removing valve covers for inspection, maybe swap valvecovers to my powder-coated blue ones. (maybe) removing oil pan for inspection step 2: reassembly with full bolt ons. HEAD COOLING KIT, adding a pulley system, fuel upgrades, full intake, and full exhaust. also contemplating an aftermarket ignition system. step 3: wire export tail lights, provide "how to" for sn95s ;-) step 4: replace stock fuel system with aftermarket fuel system. provide "how to" for sn95s ;-) step 5: swap motor, k member, replace struts/springs, and computer parts. provide "how to" for sn95s ;-) step 6: battery relocation kit. provide "how to" for sn95s ;-) step 7: professional tune on pump gas. Step 8: new hood, new paint on hood, new spoiler, lose the rocker-stripes. ;-) after this, v2.0 will be complete and I will bein saving for the 2.8 again. this sucked my KB account dry, so i will start v1.0 again in the future :-P here are a few teaser pics. :-D

moar pix. computer mumbo jumbo: stock intake, MAF, and more computer stuff (note the larger opening on the "trumpet"... clearly ford knew this was going to be sucking alot more than a N/A 4.6) OEM h pipe + o2 sensors (notice the 2 less cats) cluster, steering colunm, ECU, key, locks the catalog said "direct bolt in"... niche line plate ol' faithful

holy god..... If you gave me that your old motor would be seeing 10's jesus haha, duffy will probably beat both of us. :-( lol. yours is already half done. :-P and i understand that. but my *final* hopes and dreams are to have the K.B. teskid... in which case i can re-sell this motor in a few years and make some money back. Sxynerd's 2v is a testament to how hard it is to sell a 2v, well built or not. this thing shouldnt take up room in my garage for too long once I'm ready to part with it :-) plus this way ill have the computer set up for the teskid, all the accesories, and all the kinks already worked out. :-D But don't you... Ruin everyone else's threads? I want a Termi so bad... But i want one preferably in a New Edge still.. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

i paid some morgage instead of buying bolt ons new... i figure ill find some used stuff if i look hard enough... so it might take a while to wait for the deals to pop up. i already got someone offering me 60# injectors :-D and thanks for the support everyone i'll keep you all posted :-)

because I have a daily driver... so, id prefer pay off something thats costing me interest than fix something i dont "need." i have some money saved up, so ill buy parts, I'm just going to wait to find them used... when a good deal comes by, ill snag it. :-)

you do know his is a pretty good and specific build. This forum isnt the place I would go to sell a performance motor, BUT if i had a 281 wing or some saleens, they would be here in a minute. Post that eng on some other forums and it will be gone quick.

Corral and ModularFords are great for selling engines/big parts Duffy, I dont know where Sxynerd tried to sell his motor, I just know taht he changed his plans around because he didnt succeed. The last thing i want to do is put words in his mouth or change the story around... I dont know exactly what happened, but i figured this would be a pretty basic swap nonetheless. The main reason I'm doing this swap is to work out the "bugs" and "kinks" for preperation of the teskid. and I *know* that the cobra motor wont be difficult to sell. I am looking for bolt ons on corral right now and SVTP ;-) and here, of course :-P
