Hi everyone!

I’m on my 25th day of owning this wonderful 1995 mustang GT and I got one key fob in the deal with the seller. I’ve ordered two new key fobs and I was going to reprogram the new keys but the module is gone.

I’ve got a remote to lock/unlock the doors where is the module or how do I reprogram the new fobs?

See my video here:

Thank you for all your help

Okay thanks. But how come I still can remote lock and unlock the car?
And how do I program the new keys?

There are no keys to program, pats wasn't a thing till 96. As for the getting a keyless entry to work you will need to have one installed. Having the remotes will do no good if there is nothing to communicate with. Your local audio shop can hook you up they are not expensive.

I thought that if you had two keys then you could just turn one key on in the ignition cylinder, then the next, and then another, and on and on until you have no more and then they would all work.

Also, to program a new key fob:

-Turn key on (no ignition)

-Remove trunk trim

-Roll down driver's window

-Short two contacts inside the small rectangular grey connector (the one with nothing connected to it) - (door locks will cycle)

-Sync the new remote by pressing it's buttons (just lock/unlock will do) (if you have multiple remotes, program them now)

-When done, remove your shorting device from the connector

I am just having all kinds of issues today as the vids would not play before. The instructions given where for the stock module which you showed in the vid you do not have. I am not sure what brand you have but each has its own programming sequence but it probably will not work for the remotes you have. It would need to be a specific remote made for the brand of alarm. Check the drivers kick panel or behind the knee bolster, or follow the led wires to the main module and we can see what brand it is. I don't recognize the remote

Okay thanks everybody. It's pretty clean that I don't have the module. I guess the current lock/unlock is somekind of aftermarket install. I hope Amazon will accept the return of the two keys :)

I'll try to look where ttocs has told me to look:

Hi everyone!

Thank you for all your help
Can you post a Picture of the key fobs you are using? That should tell us if it is original Ford or an aftermarket.

In the SN95 cars there 3 configurations. The basic car, remote lock/unlock, anti-theft.

The wiring in the basic car does not include the wiring for the remote lock and anti-theft.

If you buy a car with either the remote lock or anti-theft, it comes with wiring for both.

In the trunk behind the trim panel on the left side of the trunk a bracket is installed. It has spots for both the AntiTheft and remote lock modules.

Remote lock cars get that module. Anti-Theft cars get both modules. Taped over below the bracket on the wiring harness is a reprograming plug. To reprogram a new FOB, you plug in a shorting plug (or just short the wires) and follow the procedures previously posted.

(Note you can upgrade a remote lock car to anti-theft by simply plugging in the Anti-theft module).

If you are unsure what you have remove the panel and post a pic.

he shows the remotes in the video posted in the original post. The fourth option you didn't list is the aftermarket option that any audio shop could have put any brand keyless entry/alarm into it, which is what he shows. He wants to program the stock remotes to it which will not work he needs to get the same brand of remote for that specific alarm.

@ttocs - You're totally right:)

Just a quick update: I haven't looked at the drivers kick panel yet - just haven't got time these days:-(

But I can let you see the remote in the attacted files here. The brand name is ATOK.

actually when I enter the 800 tech number on the back it leads to a VOXX electronics that seems to be the same as audiovox and prestige brands. Find the main module and it should list the model on it.

I think I made a discovery. I've found a module from KARR - shock sensor. Could it mean something with the remote?

as it says on the module that is the shock sensor or what detects if the car is hit by something. It says "KARR" on it and after a search I found this.

I am not familiar with this brand at all. Follow the wires from the shock sensor to the main module and try to get a model number off of it. Hopefully you can contact them or find the remote that you need from there.

You have everything you need. Every Remote has a FCC code on the back uniquely identifying it.

Your code is ELVAT5C. Google it and you’ll find it is an Audiovox remote

It’s readily available online. Here is an example:

They even tell you how to reprogram it.

then you just need to find the programming instructions and probably the main module(probably in the drivers kick although you might hear the relays clicking to follow them) and it is normally pretty easy to program a new remote.
