A guy is selling this exhaust near me, it's a dynomax bullet cat back for a 99-04 mustang. Right now my car has magnaflows that are too quiet for my liking and looked these up on YouTube and liked the sound, it's my understanding that these will fit from the cat back on my 95 I'd just have to switch the hangers is this correct? I also don't feel like it's worth $200 what would be a reasonable offer? Here is the link...

independence rear suspension. all cobras have that stock
the exhaust will route under to axle instead of over.
Also u have to be very careful to jacking your car up. when u get the car on jack stands you have to take the exhaust off before letting the jack down or the rear axle will force the exhaust down and could bend/break your hangers

Sorry 99-04 cobras***

It will fit. You don't need IRS to run IRS tailpipes.

You may have to do some custom work but the end product is awesome looking.
But good luck jacking the car up.

He also has a solid rear axle

yes you need to be createative with the hangers. if i remember right, the irs exhaust had 6 if not 8 hanger points. our cars v6 or gt 94-98 have 4 hanger points the 99-04 have 6 hanger points

If he buys a 3" exhaust system thats for IRS for around $200, modifies it to fit on his car at an exhaust shop. Are you gonna get the rest of your exhaust to 3" as well? Most cars don't support that extra exhaust flow well..loss of "back pressure" is something Ive heard about. I think in the end youll car will sound good, but you could probably make it sound just as good with an exhaust you wouldn't have to modify to put on your car, or have to worry about after it is installed.

I don't get trying to make an IRS exhaust fit with a SRA, seems dumb.

I'm not gonna get it anymore, I'm just gonna get 3.5 inch tips. My car came dumped so I had a exhaust shop run pipes out the back but they're 2 inch or 2.5 I think and don't look good in my opinion. so I'm just gonna have them throw on some chrome slant tips. You can see what they look like in this pic..
