Yes I've searched, which is why I'm posting this.
I tried the Ford Racing M6750C303 which 1. did not fit in the skirt of the block until I sanded it down and voided my ability to return it and then 2. points the dipstick straight at the A/C compressor and while it's technically possible to get the dipstick in and out of there, forget everything in the universe about living with that.

Then I ate the $39 that cost me and ordered the $103 Lokar ED-5004 which is also much too large to fit in the block, and I wasn't about to render it unreturnable by grinding it down..

So I returned that and then ordered a $24 knock-off and it was almost identical to the Lokar one, I machined down the tip until it would fit in the block and now there is definitely no possible way I can retain it with a header bolt.

These are Ford headers on a Ford engine in the car they're all made for. What gives?
Has anyone found a dipstick at any price that just plain works? I hope you forgive my frustration I don't have spare money right now to be wasting trying a hundred different things.
Also why does this post require approval.
