One day on my 1996 Cobra convertible, I was looking at the module in the left hand side of the trunk to relearn a key fob, and I noticed this rust behind it, from water pooling up inside the quarter panel. It sucks to see that because the car doesn’t have rust anywhere else on it as it has always been in a southern climate, but I’m glad I did so I can prevent it from getting worse.
I assume it’s rain running off from somewhere around the convertible top. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening further? Should there be a drain somewhere in there that got clogged up maybe?
