I ordered a new shifter bezel and leather boot, so that will get fixed up soon. I need to pull the dash bezel and paint it.
I like the 6r80 a lot. It takes a good bit to make it shift just right with a loose converter, but it’s great. The low first gear is nice because rear gears don’t have to be steep, then cruise rpm is lower.how do you like the 6r80? I’m contemplating on backing one behind my 2v when I go turbo
Oh I bet mph wise there’s more to gain and the 60ft can improve some yet . Wouldn’t be surprised if she goes 137 next time out .Turned out, the car was staying lean almost the whole pull. I have to check fuel pressure tomorrow. It’s got a lot left in it.
Hooked up a boost sensor and fuel pressure gauge. Now I can monitor them right on the dash. Also found out it’s only making 6psi of boost. So that’s pretty cool. I can still turn it up! Lol View attachment 34644
Did you make it out to the track event today? What kind of times are you running?Love the dash . If that’s on 6psi, 10psi is going to be a blast . Mine needs an anti roll bar . Still cut 1.6 60fts on a front side no prep .
Yea I did was no prep . 7.58 at 91 was the best with a 1.6 60ft the car needs more timing up top finally figured out why it cuts out around 5700 not enough timing it’s blowing the spark out . 7.68 and bunch of 7.70’s . There’s only 11 degrees timing in it at 13psi when it cuts out around 5700 so time to adjust it and test . 3.90’s or 4.10’s are in the future and a anti roll barDid you make it out to the track event today?
