Couple of pics from photographer at the track. Working on some in-car video right now. Had a blast and good time. Finally got my crap together and put in a 1:54 and change from the 1:59's I'd been running all weekend. Not bad for me and can still squeak a little bit more out.

Apex at Turn 6, which is my favorite corner there.

Exiting Turn 8, or Corkscrew, which is another favorite for being totally blind at corner entry! Trust your gut!

I pulled the T56 magnum transmission and clutch setup out of my 2003 Mach1.
I am installing a 6R80 transmission out of a 2014 Navigator.
I hope to get this done in the next few weeks and try to improve on my track times (10.18 @ 140).
If all goes as planned, the car should have a better sixty foot and run 9.90's.

Got started on the standalone lithium starting battery. Ran outta time just as I started mocking up and cutting 1/0 cables. I think tomorrow it'll be finished, then I get to start re-assembly of the rear suspension and diff... finally.

Unwrapped it. Charged up the battery. Drove it. Rewrapped it. Put it away. it’s sounding good and driving even better.

Must be Ford love because it never gets old. Love everything about the car from the sound the door closing makes, the smell of the interior, turning over the motor, and then the overall driving experience and how good driving it makes me feel. Makes all the blood, sweat, tears and $$$$ go away instantly! Same feeling I got 20 yrs ago with my first project, a ‘59 F100. I did enjoy the ‘64 ChevyII, but not near as much as the Cobra.

Geez, I went off on a tangent. No more coffee for me this morning! Cheers!

Cut new cables for the lithium starting battery, protected them pretty well, and it's all hooked up. Even got a little SAE charge port down low for when hood is closed. Think I'll do another SAE charge port inside the engine bay too. The photo angles are a bit deceiving, the control arm looks close to the cable but it clears nicely.
