I started with the passenger side cover due to that side having more room, but the valve cover was wanky. The driver side cover was a better candidate.

I looked back into the CAD program for the original drawings I was scratching on and it dates back to FEB 2015. Almost 10yrs since I started this project!! And now that Im grinding with consistency, Im finding more I still need to do, but its more of a desire to help me be more productive with consistency.
I did find something interesting with grinding these comp cams. The passenger side cam set up quick with no problems, but the driver cam i find the lobes surfaces are not perpendicular with the camshaft centerline. I questioned the grinders tram which is spot on, so I grabbed a small machinist square to check the lobe surface relative to the lobe itself and the surface is not square to the lobe. Its off around a few degrees. Not that a few degrees would hurt anything and the only way anyone would have caught this is to have tooling capable of measuring it. Im rambling on...... Ill put my grind on it and go on

next up. do me a set of cams that chop like comp xe278ah and have a LSA for a 5.4
