Drove the car to work one day last week, for the first time in a year. Everything worked, still need to button a few things up. IMG_4990.jpegIMG_4991.jpeg

Then today, I installed a new condenser and the Fathead Garage a/c kit. The kit is awesome! All the hoses hook up to the factory condenser and evaporator, and he sends a manifold the bolts to the compressor. Everything is hidden in the fender well. I love the fact that it’s away from the header and cam cover. Now if I’ve got to pull the cam cover for some reason, it’s that much easier. I'm going to check on that kit. Sure cleans up the area under the hood, I just hope I have room to fit my fender well with the harness without interfering with the steering/tire.

Absolutely! That would be good information if for peace of mind only before embarking on this.

A very impressive and super clean bit of kit. Outstanding job to Mr. Secondary Timing Chain”!

I'll see if any of our maintenance guys have one of those thermometers so I can test mine.

Been racing the car and driving it quite a bit. My wife has been taking the car out cruising too, she doesn’t feel comfortable driving a standard shift, so she was excited for the auto swap.

Anyway, the seating position of the s550 seats in the sn has not been great. I still think it sits too high in the car. But it always felt awkward. @white95 pointed out that the lumbar was inflated and pushing my forward (don’t know how I didn’t notice). Finally got the seat out today and deflated the lumbar. It made a HUGE difference. IMG_5235.jpeg

And, I had been thinking about raising the front suspension up for a while and tackled that as well. Brought the front up 1.5” trying to get the control arms closer to parallel with the ground. Steering is now lighter, the ride is better, and maybe it’ll help my 60’ time. I’m going to put taller tires up front too, it’ll fill the wheel well more and I think it’ll look better after that.

Drained the 93 out of the tank, and filled it up with pump E85. I forgot to order a tester so my at home solution was what we had to work with. Looks to be about E70 coming from the pump. Going back to the track Wednesday, it’ll be better weather and now the e85 should help me a bit. IMG_5255.jpegIMG_5249.jpegIMG_5251.jpegIMG_5252.jpeg

Oh man you’re going to like the gains of the e85 . I ran an old airstrip this weekend in street trim was fun . Bunch of 8.0’s and 8.1 at 93-94 mph and then I get one decent 1.83 60ft get locked out of second quickly get it in and went 7.95 93mph. The old nitto 555r2’s seem to be ok . I would like to try them in a 15” one next season

I’m hoping to pick up something! Weather should be much better here Tuesday as well.

I had 555’s at one point in time and they always seemed to be slick. And god forbid I hit rain. They wouldn’t hydroplane but taking off, they would spin easily. I think that was before the G2’s came out though.

Oh I’m running 555r’s the newer compound drag radial but they’re bald. You should get some nice gains for sure on E

Yea I don’t bother with hard tires on my car . These still spin but I really like them for a grippy street tire . Going to order some stiff wall slicks over winter for next season
