Ford must have worked out a lot of the bugs since then I guess. Yeah man I miss the coyote with the 10r. Even with the heavier crew cap it was fast and shifted great at wot.

I have noticed it doesn’t really like to drive slow. Haven’t paid much attention to the shifting at low speeds but now I will.

Mine would skip second, buck going into third, slam into fourth, and make a sort of clacking noise shifting in lower gears. 7-10 were fine though.

There was a time I was approaching traffic but the other lane was open so I turned the wheel and gave it some gas but it coasted with no acceleration. It did this for a good five seconds before it found a gear then slammed into it and took off. I called the dealer later and they said I’d have to wait at least three months to have it looked at. Not too long after that I traded it for my last black 17 gt lol.

I’m sure Ford fixed a lot of those issues. Apparently turning off adaptive learning or something cures a lot of the issues people have had.

We have another round of cooler air passing through Louisiana. Taking advantage of this, I dropped the spare tire, removed the jack and robbed the Unicorn for it’s CAI yesterday. The goal is to see if I can beat my previous best of 13.14 using said CAI but keeping the test parameters the same.

It’s fairly short and engine heat will be a hindrance, for sure.

Headed out this morning to make a pair of passes to determine this. Unfortunately, the 1/4 mile ET did not improve but I did make slight gains elsewhere. It did seem to get to the speed limiter a touch sooner. I’m happy to see the 60’ time dip below 2 seconds for the first time.

Not bad but the 4” CAI isn’t much better than no air filter in the stock air box. I’ll have the rest of the parts to build my 5” CAI by the 18th and will report results when available. Beyond that, I believe some exhaust work is in order.

Dropped another 40 lbs of weight and gained some exhaust noise in the process.

It’s not amazing but at least it’s not a silent but deadly fart any longer.

Also, pulled the 4x4 stickers off. The plan was to install these but they were comically larger. Screw it.

On today’s episode of “Hood Rat shit with White95” we find our hero making a little more progress towards his goal of 12.99 on the stock tune. How well did he do? Will he get faster?

IMG_1110.jpeg

Picked up speed and dropped time everywhere. Not sure much more will be had until I drop even more weight. Hmm.. Seats come out easy..

It’s definitely rowdy without a muffler and soon I will drop a proper exhaust on it.

Right? This thing is so much fun. It would make an add out of my car for the first 1000’ as is. Cant wait to surprise someone at a red light.

You’d be very close to my car on the street to the 8th mile as it’s a spin fest but then my car takes off . My best on the street is a 8.05 but usually in 8.20 -8.40 range . I should setup the two step now that the seasons over . Can’t wait to see a 12 second draggy pass from the 150

Talked to a guy in one of the F150 Performance groups on Facebook and he told me I should be faster. Try “one click” on the traction control button but leave AdvanceTrac (stability control) active. Did just that. Here are the results:

Man, I want 12’s…
