Well, I went down to Unlimited Performance today to get the car Dyno'd since I got the headers/exhaust installed to get some updated numbers and I was pleasantly surprised! This was on a Maximum Dyno and I was told by Brent that the numbers would be lower than a Dynojet or a Mustang Dyno, but it is faily similar in comparison.

Number before on a Dynojet with TB, Plenum and CAI: 245 RWHP 285 RWTQ.

I can't give you all of the goodies yet so... Photo Op! :tongue3:

Ok, Ok.... Here we go!

Final Numbers were: 266.1 RWHP and 340.5 RWTQ!

Only upgrades from what the car had before was the Bassani Headers, Hi-Flow cats, X-pipe and Borla Stingers. The Final two runs were done directly after the first, so the engine was getting heat soaked, plus there were no fans or anything to help cool. Thankfully it was a pleasant day @ 72* with a slight wind.

Click here to see a video of the pull, this is with my digital Camera, so it's low quality.
2001 Mustang GT Dyno Pull.

Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the numbers, especially the gain in TQ. I didn't expect a huge improvement in HP, but the 55'lbs of torque was a great outcome!

not to rain on your parade but most likely that dyno was just reading really high.

Sorry.

lol...just sayin, your not just gonna pick up 60 ft lb of torque.....and bolt on 4.6s generally make what 290-300 ft lb?

I dont really care but dynos are generally useless other than to tune a car since they all read differantly and can be manipulated to read higher.

Yeah, Justin I believe that you're right. The A/F mix is too lean and most likely has given a false reading on the TQ although I believe with that corrected it will be in the neighborhood of 270hp/310tq +/-. Tim (MPH) is modifying the cars original tune and I'm going to take it back to the Dyno for another pull. I honestly thought that the numbers were not quite right, but didn't notice the A/F numbers until today...

Either way, I'll be happy.. It will be a decent pickup from where it was.

This is an enlargement of the A/F Chart to give you an idea..

310 is still alot for a 2v with your mods.

It was already near 290 with only the Dragon Plenum/TB and CAI with stock exhaust.

So... I need to get an A/F gauge, what should I be looking for?

Would one of these be sufficient or do I really need to spend a ton of money on one of these damn things...

http://www.lethalperformance.com/99-04-mustang-gt-gauges-cobalt-series-c-465_772_1189/autometer-cobalt-series-2-1-16-electric-air-fuel-ratio-gauge-p-6228

http://www.americanmuscle.com/autometer-airfuel.html

If neither of these, what would you recommend?

I also need to get another gauge since I guess I'll have to get a pod... Oil Pressure?.... Water temp?... What do you think?

besides RPM and AF ratio, oil press and water temp are the most important. I have a gage pod in the center of the dash with oil press and water temp. AF ratio gages get annoying, imho.

I would go with Innovate Motorsports if I was to buy one tho... get a lambda cable and the gage that plugs into it.

Totally no jacking thread but I will say this I WAS BURING 1 QUART OF OIL PER 500 MILES OF NORMAL DRIVING. If any response to this make a new thread...

yea...I mean, last time I checked I did run 12.1x at 117 mph, virtually no traction off the line and first gear so I think my auto is doing Ok.
