Break-in is complete. Oil looks clean, the spark plugs are in nice shape. Time to change the oil, install returnless fuel system and get the tune on it. Should be done fairly soon, hoping for good numbers. The most this car ever made was 360 rwhp on the Mustang A248 dyno at which point it was already consuming oil, anything above that would be nice. I will also take it to the dynojet, and test it again, because I've had it tested on that right before the engine came out, and it made 340 rwhp

Preliminary dyno results: 349 rwhp, which is 20 up from last time it was on the same dyno before rebuild, tested on Mustang A248 dyno. The real test will be to go back to the dynojet at Specialty Z and run the car there again. I've went there right before I've had the engine pulled with that dyno result being 340 rwhp, so this will be the most accurate comparison (despite different weather conditions, and running heavier wheels). Seems to me that the car is right back in the ballpark of where it used to before engine started consuming oil like crazy.

Here is the dyno sheet of the most recent dyno test. The real test will be on Tuesday, when I will go back to the Dyno Jet that I tested the car on right before the engine was pulled for a rebuild.

Couple of updates since:

1. I've installed a new hood vent. This was came from Carter's Customs, it's a typical aluminum piece that you have to bend yourself. I've my stock hood still, so I've cut a hole in that and installed the new vent. Today I've had a chance to test it's functionality by doing the yarn and tape trick. You can really see that the vent really becomes quite active at higher speed, but the most important part is that the yarn was never being sucked in at any point, which means that air only travels out of the engine compartment, and not working against the flow

2. In effort to make the car more enjoyable all around, I've added factory belts again. The downside is that I could only find junkyard sets, so I've sent them off to Safety Restore, where they replaced the old stained belts with new red ones, and performed a spring cleaning service, so that it retracted back easier. I'm pretty pleased with the result, the belt matches rollbar and other red trim in the interior really well. And when I go to track days, I can reinstall the race harnesses in a matter of minutes.

And just like that, the car is down again. I've noticed that it's been running kinda hot lately, yesterday it got really hot on the freeway to the point where a cooling fan had to be used. I decided to burp the coolant system, but straight away I've noticed that there was a LOT of gas bubbling up to the top in violent eruptions. I went to HF, bought a block test tool, and sure enough, the fluid turned yellow immediately. Looks like I'm pulling the heads off, hopefully it's as simple as a blown head gasket, and no further machine work will be required, especially as the motor is still pretty fresh.
